*Translator -- A device created by one of the twins' younger brothers (Dmitri, as a matter of fact), that not only acts as a hearing aid for their deaf ears but also as a translator of foreign languages. Solar-powered, the little earbuds fit nestled into the ear canal and send radio frequencies to the speech center of the brain. When it picks up a language it has never heard before, it teaches the brain it is attached to that specific language (including grammatical structure and everything) just from 'listening'. After half an hour in a new place, not only will the wearer be able to understand the language, they will also be able to speak it fluently.
**DCS -- Short for 'Dmitri's Cartographical System', it's yet another gidgit created by their loving younger brother. A small round flat piece of equipment, it was made to fit in a pocket. The flat top of it is a projection device with minute pinpricks of light so that the image projected is sensitive to touch. All one has to do is turn it on, type in their location and date, and it picks up on your energy signature and those of the things and people around you and accurately displays them on the screen for you. Another solar-powered device, one never has to worry about batteries or finding a plug-in.
